For example, you can delineate each and every resource (crew, supply, equipment,) with specific criteria (quantity, cost, time,). The system allows you to integrate multiple private and public item databases so you can utilize realistic prices and make accurate bids. And because the system updates in real-time, you can see how each aspect affects the final amount. BID2WIN even allows you to factor in accurate fuel costs specific to equipment type.

Another innovative feature included in the BID2WIN system is the ability for mobile bidding. Mobile estimators can input information while they’re on the go, and easily synchronize the information when they reconnect.

BID2WIN runs on a Microsoft SQL server database. This allows the software to support several simultaneous users at the same time, even on the same estimate. BID2WIN ’s highly-developed tree system not only accommodates unlimited levels of categorization, but is simple to understand and provides efficient organization.

Full drag and drop functionality within and between bids is certainly appreciated, and just makes sense. Another simple but essential aspect we liked was the ability to open more than one window at a time to see different parts of the process, or even multiple estimates at the same time.

BID2WIN also features an integrated estimate check wizard. This useful tool automatically proofs your estimate to locate several of the most common estimating mistakes. Then the program walks you through the fixing process to address errors and make a flawless bid.

All in all, BID2WIN is extremely user friendly and simple to learn and use, especially considering the level of detail it accommodates. We were impressed with the streamlined interface, particularly in comparison to some of the other bidding and estimating software we’ve reviewed.
